BalletCollective
BalletCollective is a New York-based arts nonprofit that asks not what ballet is, but what it can be. Founded in 2010 by choreographer and director Troy Schumacher, the company exclusively performs original, commissioned work, partnering with a roster of over 330 acclaimed artists, architects, authors, composers, musicians, and designers to produce forward-thinking ballet-based works that have been presented by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Joyce Theater, NYU Skirball Center, Guggenheim Works & Process, Guggenheim Bilbao, and the Vail Dance Festival, among others. Their work has been covered by the New York Times, Vogue, the New Yorker, and the Wall Street Journal.
A company this inventive and wide-ranging demands a visual identity that can keep pace across every format. de.MO has served as BalletCollective’s design studio across an ongoing collaboration, beginning with the 2024 season and extending into 2025 and beyond, responsible for the full suite of performing arts branding and print design across all supporting material, including logo, invitations, posters, programs, and merchandise, bringing a consistent and considered visual identity to every touchpoint of the audience experience.
