Imaginarium: The Process Behind the Pictures by Claire Rosen
Claire Rosen is an artist and photographer known for meticulously constructed images featuring live animals in fantastical settings drawn from natural history, Beatrix Potter, and Dutch still life painting. Twice named to Forbes’ “30 Under 30” for Art & Design, her work has been recognised by Communication Arts, PDN, Graphis, the International Photography Awards, and the Sony World Photography Awards, published in National Geographic, Smithsonian Magazine, and Architectural Digest, and held in collections at the Museum of Modern Art, Rockefeller Center, and One World Trade Center.
Imaginarium: The Process Behind the Pictures, published by Rocky Nook, is a compendium of practical guidance on the photographic process, from idea cultivation through execution, written for individual artists and commercial photographers alike. The book draws on contributions from Beth Taubner of Mercurylab, Alessia Glaviano of Vogue Italia, and Rebecca Manson of The Post Office, alongside interviews with photographers Maggie Steber, Roger Ballen, Sara Lando, Gabriela Iancu, Robin Schwartz, and Eleanor Macnair.
