L.A. Burdick

L.A. Burdick is an American artisan chocolatier founded in 1987 by Larry Burdick, who trained in Bern, Switzerland, before returning to the United States to make handcrafted chocolate confections of exceptional quality, sourcing cocoa from South and Central America and the Caribbean, and producing the signature chocolate mice and bonbons that have made the brand a benchmark in American fine chocolate. Burdick operates seven locations across the United States.

de.MO was commissioned to work with L.A. Burdick on catalogue and calendar design, luxury food brand print design work undertaken at a moment when the brand was looking to reach a broader audience. de.MO was on site to art direct the photographic assets, visually elevating the brand’s storytelling and ensuring the imagery captured the handcrafted quality and sensibility at the heart of what Burdick had spent decades building.
