Wethersfield Estate & Garden

Wethersfield Estate & Garden is one of the Hudson Valley’s most significant historic properties, a 1,200-acre estate in Amenia, New York, listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its significance in architecture, landscape architecture, conservation, and the arts. Founded by Chauncey Stillman and now stewarded by the Wethersfield Foundation, the estate encompasses a Georgian Revival main house designed by architect L. Bancel LaFarge, a classical formal garden, a seven-acre woodland garden with allegorical statuary, a Carriage House Museum housing 22 antique carriages, over 20 miles of equestrian and hiking trails, and a working farm. It is a rare and complete expression of American classical estate design, open to visitors, riders, and the broader community.

de.MO was commissioned to develop a new logo and visual identity for Wethersfield, nonprofit branding and heritage design work intended to better connect the estate with its audience, attract visitors to the gardens and trails, and strengthen donor support for the Foundation’s conservation and cultural mission. The new identity brings clarity and contemporary appeal to a historic institution, giving the Foundation a more cohesive visual presence across all materials and touchpoints.
